Abstract: Cryptosporidiosis is one of the most important zoonotic parasitic diseases affecting a wide range host species. The disease widely distributed all over world. Cryptosporidium species can affect different avian hosts, causing severe economic losses. severity cryptosporidiosis symptoms vary from asymptomatic to enteric and/or respiratory manifestations with high mortality. Diagnosis infection mainly based on microscopic detection oocysts, serological methods, or molecular techniques identify Humans and animals are highly susceptible by as result ingestion contaminated food water oocysts direct contact infected hosts. Different prevention control strategies have been applied either in surrounding environment for animals, birds, humans. Bolezen razširjena po vsem svetu. Vrste lahko prizadenejo različne ptičje gostitelje povzročijo veliko gospodarsko škodo. Resnost simptomov kriptosporidioze pri pticah različna, od asimptomatične bolezni do hudih črevesnih in/ali dihalnih znakov z visoko smrtnostjo. Diagnoza okužbe s parazitom temelji predvsem na mikroskopskem odkrivanju oocist, seroloških metodah ali molekularnih tehnikah za identifikacijo različnih vrst povzročitelja. Ljudje živali so zelo dovzetni okužbo različnimi vrstami Cryptosporidium, posledica zaužitja kontaminirane hrane vode oocistami neposrednega stika okuženimi gostitelji. Za preprečevanje nadzor okuženih živalih, ljudeh v njihovi okolici bile uporabljene strategije. Namen tega preglednega članka bil zato razjasniti vrste povzročiteljev razširjenost ptic, dovzetnost način prenosa ter klinično sliko, laboratorijsko diagnostiko, zoonotski pomen strategije preprečevanja nadzora bolezni.Ključne besede: ptičji; diagnoza; človeški
